This site is dedicated to information on Auburn municipal elections, i.e. elections for which the City of Auburn is the election authority. Other elections at the County, State or Federal level are run by the State of Alabama through Lee County. Auburn voters should note that you may have to vote in a different location for County, State and Federal elections than you do for City of Auburn municipal elections. Information on this web site only applies to City of Auburn municipal elections.
2022 Municipal Election
The next Auburn City Council Municipal Election will be held on August 23, 2022, the fourth Tuesday in August. Citizens must register to vote by August 9 through the Lee County Board of Registrars or the Alabama Secretary of State. Residents may apply for absentee ballots in person at Auburn City Hall, 144 Tichenor Avenue, through August 18. Potential candidates may file to qualify at Auburn City Hall through June 28.
The Auburn City Council adopted new boundaries for the City's eight voting wards on Jan. 25, 2022, based on population data from the 2020 U.S. Census.
